Let's have a spur-of-the moment art contest. The theme is "holiday birds". Artwork can be as simple or elaborate as you like, but photos must be edited to add something that wasn't there originally - it can be as simple as writing "Happy Holidays". Entries should be something that you made (or someone in your household), not something that you found on the internet or elsewhere. Up to 5 entries per person.
The contest is open through New Years Day, January 1. If more than one picture is entered we'll have a vote, otherwise I win by default ha ha.

I haven't tried any photo processing program other than photoshop, but I tried the Gimp once for word processing and spreadsheets and it drove me crazy. I was already used to Word and Excel, and the Gimp was so different that I couldn't adjust to it. If I hadn't been used to the other programs already I probably would have liked it.

They actually fooled me for a moment, I thought they were simple photographs. Then I noticed the wording about 2 different backdrops and realized that it's really the same picture of the birds. Very realistic looking photo-editing job!

I spent hours on the Gimp cleaning out the cage bars... the cage was against a cream wall and it looked really bad... HOURS

Barbara, I would've tore my eyes from my sockets doing that. I can't even extract a crest from a tiel! (Speaking of which, could someone please help me with that. I seriously need help). Very well done!
