aha the Huff Post is one of my favourite readings. They make one in italian for italians and that's how I keep up with what's going on in that crazy country of mine.

I guess now they will say that pythons must be killed to level up the population again. I can imagine everyone going around with a pair of boots a la Kim Kardashian

Yes, they're trying to get rid of the pythons. They aren't native, they're the result of irresponsible snake owners letting their exotic pets escape. They're a serious threat to the native wildlife in the Everglades.

Snake charmer Marsh.

  he looks like he knows what he's doing...

I had no idea that they aren't native! They really look like they belong to a place like the Everglades.
We in UK have a similar problem with minks, they escaped from fur farms and now kill the smaller peaceful mammals. Such a shame, some of them are on their way to extinction.

I love the little pipe she's playing but it freaks me out seeing a cockatiel perched on a cobra. That is SO wrong!! I want to run up screaming and snatch her away from the snake. :o

Pythons are native to Asia, Africa and Australia - they're not even native to the Americas. The ones wreaking havoc in the Everglades are Burmese pythons. There are giant snakes in South America but they're anacondas not pythons. I think the biggest North American snakes don't get much bigger than six feet long.

It was. But I took it down because it made her feel uncomfortable. It may have been too much and I just want to keep this forum feeling safe and comfortable for everyone. :D

You never know... maybe Baruch hired a cobra to help keep the raccoons away and put Marshmallow in charge of controlling the snake.
