The theme is "Celebrate!" - birds celebrating something. Up to five entries per person.

So, before I put in any drawings, can I have drawings of Lucy with other members' birds? I have a few ideas on on a "hatch-day celebration" drawing, and I don't want to end up working on a drawing, only to find out I can't enter it.

That was a theme a while ago, meeting other member's birds.

Yes, it's OK to do that as long as it's something nice (which I'm sure is what you had in mind anyway). I don't think anyone will object, but if they do we'll deal with it when it happens.

Well if you're ok with it Carolyn, then that's good, because I was going to use Shodu and Buster.

The other one involved Erik's bird, Coco, since she shares the same hatchday as Lucy. I'll have to see if he's ok with it, too.

Really, what are they celebrating?

I think every day is a celebration with budgies.

Alright, here's one picture. I didn't really pay as much attention to detail as I probably should have. I know I can do better, but I'm a little tired, and I really just wanted to get this one out there. I fixed the feet size problem, though I seemed to have messed up on everything else. I hope it at least looks good enough, though.


Shodu decided to help herself to the home made avi-cake topped with bird safe frosting (yes, it exists), that was specially made for Lucy's hatch day, and Buster can only sit and watch, as the chaos unfolds between the love of his life, and one of his (many) beloved daughters.

Shodu's color scheme was somewhat baffling to work with. Her gray is a different shade from most grays I've seen, and the white is placed in a bit of a weird area on her face. Next time, maybe I'll add the spots.

I really hate how I did the beaks in this one, to be honest. I'll do a better job of that, next time.

That is HILARIOUS! And so much in character for Shodu too. She would totally do that if she had the opportunity.
