We haven't declared the November winner yet, but there's no way I can lose unless somebody somehow manages to stage a massive coup. So I'm going to go ahead and announce the December theme. It's Freestyle once again, but naturally holiday themes are particularly appreciated at this time of year. Up to five entries per person.

If somebody manages to pull off that massive coup in the November vote, we'll figure out how to deal with it when it happens.

Well since it's freestyle, then maybe I can finish the one picture I had been working on for November but then got a little too busy with college and all.

Actually, since this is the month Lucy got lost (it will be exactly one year on the 9th), I was thinking of making a comic based on that incident. I wouldn't enter it as an art contest entry since it might end up being multiple pages long and likely exceed the "five pictures per person" limit.

It would work if you could fit a lot of panels into a single picture. I can't remember ever having an entry that was done comic strip style, with a series of pictures telling a story. That would be fun! I've done a few that I sent to my son, but they were too personalized for anybody here to understand the jokes.

Here's one with a winter theme. About once every five years, my front yard looks like this for a few hours. Through the miracle of Photoshop, Vlad is looking at the front yard through a window that actually faces the back yard.
