My name is Rick and I am breeding a few canaries this year, its been twenty years since the last time, and I have a dilema. I have a hen and cock in a breeding cage, she built a great nest and began laying. I never saw them mate. She laid three days in a row and yesterday no egg. late in the day I noticed her off the nest and feeding and i saw two of the eggs on the cage floor, broken. I suspected the cock and removed him. I left the single egg and this morning she laid another. Should I introduce another male at this time. Any ideas? Thanks
