Hello all, I am Hunter and I am a teenager in a rural spot in North Carolina. I am a part of the TailFeathers forums and I would love to participate in this forum site as well for extra posts. I own a 16 week old cockatiel 'Kringle' who is a whitefaced pied cockatiel as you can see here...Image Thanks!

Actually I think she might be whiteface split pied. A split is when the bird carries the gene for a particular mutation but isn't actually visual for the mutation. It's very common for a bird with a pied split to have a few yellow/white feathers on the back of the head - this is called a pied tickmark.

I can see some white feathers on the back of Kringle's head, but it looks like the rest of her coloring is normal.
