LOL yea, they are pretty spikey. I am keeping the oldest pearl. She is so snuggly. The other 4 have forever homes, and I am thrilled with who wanted to adopt them. They will all be loved, and cared for correctly. Love my feather babies.

I honestly your choice. If you feel like you want to make another thread, go for it ! Same goes for wanting to just update on this thread. There is no rule telling you where you have to update your threads. =)

Is it okay if you upload a video of your babies? I really want to see them.

How old are they now? It's natural for the chicks to start eating a little less and losing a little weight around the time they're three weeks old. They're not growing as fast as that point and they're getting ready to learn how to fly, which wouldn't work very well if they had a huge heavy crop weighing them down.

Thank you all so much. I will work on a video today. Tielfan, thanks for telling me that, Jean (the oldest is almost 4 weeks) She hatched on the 7/14. The others hatched 7/17, 7/18, 7/19, and 7/21. The oldest one is losing slightly, but the others are holding. Should I be putting more than millet in the baby cage age at this point? Seed/pellets? Do they need extra water dish (shallow) while I am still hand feeding? Poop looks fairly wet at the moment. Just before I pulled all the babies, the oldest Jean came out of nest box, and was sitting in her dads fresh food bowl trying to munch. She is my character.

A shallow water bowl is good. The chicks don't actually need the liquid since they're getting it in their formula, but wading around in a pool of water helps them learn how to drink on their own.

You can put all kinds of food in the baby cage. The babies won't be able to actually eat pellets and big seeds yet, but they can experiment with them. They'll be more successful at eating leafy greens and soft foods so provide some of that stuff too. Anything you'd like them to eat in the future can be given to them right now so they can practice on it.
