How is he doing now? It would be best to take him to an avian vet if you can because there isn't much that people can do online to help. But if it's not possible to see a vet then post some pictures of the injured leg and we'll try our best.

I just saw in a different thread that the budgie passed away. I'm very sorry that things turned out this way, and I'm sorry that I wasn't able to get to your post sooner to approve it. Unfortunately we have to make new members wait for approval until we're sure they aren't spammers. I don't think that we would have been able to help though. This is a situation where you really need help in person from a veterinarian.

Do you have any idea of what happened? Sometimes birds will have a medical problem (like a stroke) that disrupts their nervous system and leaves them unable to use their legs properly. This can look like a leg injury when really the problem is in the brain. If that was what happened here, it's possible that even a vet wouldn't have been able to save him.

You tried to get help for him at least so you can take some comfort from knowing that you tried.

Oh...I'm sorry to hear about your little budgie. It sounds like you loved him and did your best trying to help him.
