Thanks I'll try to do that.

They both are more scared of the glove than my hand but I wear the glove because I tried to hand-feed them and didn't want to get bitten.

He's healing slowly.

I also spotted a pin feather on his back so should I start serving eggs? Like some people said.

Eggs are very nutritious, and it doesn't hurt to have a little extra nutrition during molting. It's not required though. If you do start offering cooked egg, provide a small amount once or twice a week. Eggs are very high in fat, cholesterol and protein, and too much of that stuff isn't good. My birds get egg twice a week as part of their normal diet, and when they're breeding they get it every day. Breeding season is one of the few times when lots of fat and protein is beneficial.

Baths are very helpful during molting because the moisture helps soften up the pinfeathers and reduce any soreness or irritation. If your birds don't take a bath voluntarily, you can give them a mist bath by squirting mist above them from a sprayer so the water falls down like rain. If they aren't used to this they will NOT like it at first, but after a few sessions they'll figure out that it's fun.

Misting is pretty safe as long as you aren't intentionally squirting the water directly into the bird's face. When tiny droplets of water are just drifting down the birds aren't going to inhale very much, and mother nature can cope with it.

I have 13 birds, and my hand can't cope with squeezing the trigger on a spray bottle long enough to get them all wet. So I take them outside in cages on a nice warm sunny day and give them a bath using the mist setting on the GARDEN HOSE!!!!! :o I sweep the hose back and forth so the mist doesn't fall on any bird for more than a couple of seconds at a time, so they have opportunities to breathe mist-free air. Sometimes a bird will inhale enough water that its breathing starts to sound a little squeaky, but it dries out pretty quickly.

Some people take their birds in the shower with them, and you can buy shower perches like this one from http://www.windycityparrot.com/Bird-Sho ... QgodMVIAGA :

Bigger birds can go directly under the shower spray, but small birds usually prefer to be off to the side where they can catch some mist but don't feel the full force of the main shower.

Okay, so I'll try to mist it on their backs?

Thank you once again! :applaud:

You don't have to aim for any particular part of their body. You just spray some mist into the air and it spreads out and falls down. Most of it will fall on their back since that's a large body part and it faces up, but if the birds get into it they'll start twisting around so other body parts get misted too.

okay, so maybe take out the bowls and spray them a bit from the top and move the bottle/hose around a lot so it doesn't get too much on one spot right?

That's pretty much it, but you could just pause a little after every spritz instead of moving the bottle back and forth. I have so many birds that it isn't possible to cover all of them at the same time, so I have to sweep the sprayer back and forth. If your birds are standing fairly close together you can get both of them with one squirt!
