Thanks Baruch, But the problem is that the baby won't take more then 1 and a half cc's at a time. Not to mention 11-15 cc's! Maybe when tielfan gets back on she can answer my questions.......

I think the baby is doing better. He still isn't taking it very well. How many times will I need to get up in the middle of the night to feed him? Like I said, he's still taking about 1 and a half cc's per hour. If I put the baby in the cage, the baby will start begging, and the dad will feed him for a little bit. I don't trust them enough though to keep feeding him. I have to keep an eye on them because the mom will come down and pluck the feathers. She will feed the baby as long as its begging, but if it stops, its as if she starts plucking out of boredom.

How many babies are in the nest at the moment? Are you noticing that mom is hormonal?

Does the baby refuse to take more food while the parents still want to feed it, and does this happen when the crop is still fairly empty? Sometimes parents will peck at a chick trying to get it to beg. It's possible that she knows the baby isn't eating enough and is trying to get it to eat more.
By any chance is this the baby that fell on the floor when it was tiny? Are the parents taking good care of the other babies, and are they developing well? If the answer to both these questions is yes, it's possible that there's something wrong with this baby that's having a long-term effect on its health.
Do you think the baby would take more food from you if your handfeeding technique improved, or does he just not want to eat very much?
Sorry, lots of questions here, but if we can identify what's wrong it makes it easier to fix it. As for how often you should feed him during the nigh, as long as he's taking only 1 1/2 cc's per hour I would feed him at least every two hours. Once an hour might be better, but you'll be a complete wreck if you don't get some sleep and that can contribute to handfeeding mistakes. Babies at this age can usually go through the night without being fed, but he's not getting enough food during the day and he's not going to bed with a full crop.

No, the baby begs and begs for food, but the parents only give it a fraction of what its asking. Yes, this is the baby that fell. This baby only has one sibling, a bird that is 4-5 days older. The other baby is way stronger, and has almost all of her feathers. It seems like he only wants food from his parents, and not from me. Funny thing though, whenever I put him in the cage, and he starts begging for food from the parents, he will take the formula much better. He is so slow eating it that I have to reheat the formula several times before he eats it all. I was able to give him a bit more a few minutes ago. His crop is now about half-way full. I am so thankful that someone so educated with birds is here to help me. Thank you!
