so i have to borrow the scale from my fiance's mom so its been a bit. i weighed them last before munch was sick when i was trying to switch the lovies over to pellets.

so i suspected munch has gained since then.

PAST weights:
munch: 56 grams
mango 46 grams
dally: 89 grams
tsuka: 110 grams

NOW, these are their current weights

munch: 60 grams
mango: 50 grams
dally: 89 grams
tsuka: 120 grams

so everyone is where they should be.

tsuka is flighted now, thats why hes gained. hes not so fat anymore, hes solid. mango needed to bulk up a bit, hes our smallest. so its good hes gained. and munch was sick before and was a tad small, now her chest is very round and well muscled and she weighs a good amount lol (moose!) dally is dainty and will always be small. when we got her she only weighed 69 grams so 89 is a good weight for her :)

Hooray for healthy-weight birds! Dally actually weighs more than most of my birds, although I have a couple who tip the scale at 90. They'd probably weigh 4 or 5 grams more if they were fully flighted. Squeebis is the lightest, he's usually about 79 grams.

Somebody at bird club once told me that my cockatiels were the smallest she'd ever seen. But they're normal-sized birds, so she must have been used to looking at show birds. Those things are HUGE. Sometimes at pet stores I see big brawny tiels that probably have show bird ancestry, but I've never owned one of them.
