This is my youngest, Sesamo.
I got her from a shop, she had gorgeous siblings and not a chance to be picked with that foot and the bald neck.
She is much better now but she was a mess when I first got her, this is how her neck was then (September 2013)

Now the bald spot has completely recovered, but she still looks like a little vulture

Is there any chance that her head feathers will grow normally in the future? I don't think she is molting yet, maybe when she starts molting they will regrow?
I don't know why this batch of photos I took today is so yellow! She is not that yellow in person.

It looks like she was plucked by her parents. Plucked feathers will usually regrow in about a month, but if it's been longer than this then maybe the feather follicles were damaged too badly to produce feathers any more. Most of the time this means a permanent bald spot. I think it's sometimes possible for the follicles to eventually recover enough to start growing feathers again but I can't find any evidence to back up this idea.

The weird part is that she has no bald spots! I was half expecting her to retain that bald patch on the lower neck... but if I look at her neck and back, she's completely covered with feathers, still she looks weird
I guess the shorter feathers have found their way to regrowth but the longer ones are gone forever? Well, she surely has a distinctive look :)

Are the shorter ones down feathers, or are they regular outer feathers that have been partly chopped off? If it's regular feathers that have been broken, she'll grow nice normal new ones when she molts. This is the same reason Henry doesn't have a crest - the original feathers weren't plucked out, they were broken off near the bottom, and he won't get new ones until he molts the old ones.

If it's just down feathers, then apparently the follicles for the down weren't damaged so she can still have down feathers in that area.

There's another possibility too - that the follicles were too damaged to grow normal feathers but they still worked somewhat and she could grow some abnormal feathers there.

She is still evaluating me, so I'm not allowed to touch her full hands on.
Next time she lets me close I will take macro pictures of her back to show you.

She had one feather stick out on her back in September, and still has it... Everything related to her feathers seems to go so slowly!
Now that I think of it, looks like ALL my birds are slow feather growers! Is there anything, diet-wise, that I can do to help them?

You're giving them a great diet already. The only possible missing element that I see is vitamin D, and I can't find any indication that D is important for feather growth and molting. So just wait, time will tell.

This is the closest I could go without spooking her. Not the best but the feathers are visible

There is one spot that's still in bad shape, not as big as it used to be, but still a little bit bald. I am so used to see that little sweet vulture face, not sure how she'd look with all the proper feathers!

It's possible that this spot might always be a little bit bald, or maybe the feather follicles will eventually recover. Either way she'll look very very cute! She has an adorable face.
