It's still in the egg then? Are you waiting for the yolk to be absorbed?

Hooray! Susanne is absolutely the best for helping with problems like this. I bet she's way better than a vet would be with hatch problems, because she has more experience and knowledge about the process.

Hopefully the parents will feed it soon. I can see the signs of dehydration - red skin and dark intestines. Does the baby seem strong enough to beg?

I am going to moderate them a lot! They will be feeding the chicks very soon. I added coconut water to their water so that they will hydrate the chicks with each feading.

That's a clever way to get coconut water into the babies! Plain water will hydrate them too, but coconut water has natural sugar, electrolytes, and potassium so it's a little like a sports drink and gives them an extra boost. http://www.webmd.com/food-recipes/featu ... onut-water

Thanks! The parents fed the chick#3 a couple of times today! And chick#1 and #2 has a full crop! I am so glad they are doing a good job!
I will make another photo shoot tomorrow.

Update: Bio lets me put my hand inside the nest! marshmallow will occasionally freak out, but she let me take videos of her feeding the chicks. :)

I've never had to assist a hatch, so you have more experience in this than I do!
