I usually never go inside the birds aviary in the mornings, but today, I felt like I had to, like something was wrong. As I go in, I see Tommy with a terrible face accident. He has dried blood on his beak, face, and undereye, his face feathers don't look good at all. His eye looks weird. I don't know what happened to him. I thought he was blind but he flew a little. My mom felt bad for him so he is inside the house. I'm scared, I don't want to loose him.

I got a picture. Please keep him in mind. I'm not done with the cage yet. It needs more perches and toys.

It almost looks like he tried to escape and some part of the cage closed and tightened on him. I don't know for sure, but looking at the marks on his face, that's just my guess.

My guess is that there was a night fright, possibly combined with a fight with another bird. When birds are flapping around wildly in the dark they may run into each other, and can't tell whether the animal they've encountered is a flockmate or a predator. So they defend themselves.

The injuries don't actually look too bad, although I can't tell how deep the wounds near the beak are. If you want to you can put a tiny dab of Neosporin on those to help prevent infection, but try not to get any on the feathers or use so much that he might rub it onto the feathers.

I'd leave the eye alone. To me it looks like a scratch from another bird's claw with maybe a bruise under the skin. If there's an actual open wound there you could wash it gently, but using ointments etc isn't worth the risk of possibly getting some in the eye itself. Hopefully there isn't any damage to the actual eye. He is keeping the eye open which is a good sign, if it was damaged he would probably keep it shut. The open eye is also a sign that there's little or no swelling in the eyelid.

Put the Neosporin on it and try to offer him soft food by hand. Tickle his beak with something nice to eat and hopefully it will encourage him to eat. Like some pellet mash, broccoli bits or some hardboiled egg.

I got him to drink a sip and eat a few seeds. Turns out that he can't open his beak enough to eat seeds. I'm feeling overwhelmed. I don't want to put neosporin because the wounds are under his feathers. He has skin on the side of his beak.
I can't handle this anymore.

It might help to give him some electrolytes. If you have any Pedialyte or Gatorade (or similar sports drink) you can give him a drop of that. If not, here's an easy recipe with things you probably have in your kitchen: http://birdboard.com/forum/index.php/to ... %2Bformula

He's a handfed baby so take advantage of that. If you have any handfeeding formula left you can feed him that. He might not be able to open his beak wide enough to take a syringe but he can probably nibble it off a spoon. If you don't have handfeeding formula then oatmeal or mashed potatoes or any other warm mushy food will get some calories into him.

Is there any chance your parents would let you take him to a vet?

I have baby formula. I'll tell you how feeding goes.
