I have been working nights these last four weeks and this gives me so little time left with my flock! Thank God this is my night off so when I woke up about one hour ago I went to check on everyone, clean up a bit etc.
Trilly came out of the nest and sat there looking at me. She threw up seed hulls, and still does it every ten minutes or so.
But what worries me sick is that I think I can see the egg bump and I'm afraid it could be egg binding.
She hop on my finger and shoulder, another proof that she's not well...
Anyway the only thing I could remember was keeping them in a moist environment so we are in the bathroom and I am running a hot bath.
What else can I do? My mind has gone blank and I can't remember anything I read about it.
She seems slightly more lively now, cleaning herself and grooming my hair.
Please if anyone is here let me know what else I can do for her!

While you were at work was it possible she nibbled on something or perhaps ate too quickly that made her vomit?

Is she loosing weight at all?

She is not losing weight, eats like a horse so I wouldn't be surprised if she ate too quickly.
As in eating something bad, well of course there is always the possibility but very remote. She is never out of the bird room which doesn't contain any dangerous chemicals or weird human food, snacks etc. You think it could be poisoning?

I have the electric radiator on now in the bird room, with a wet towel on. The room should be very warm and humid pretty soon.
She tried to fly in the hallway and fell after a few metres... This is so not her!
Now she is sitting on my shoulder while I stand next to the nest and seems comfortable. She also stopped vomiting.
But she obviously lost energy, I gave her some sugary water but she does not want to drink.

If it was me, I would skip the sugar water. Do you have Gatorade or coconut water there, or even just plain water with added electrolytes?

If she vomited and has a loss of energy, do you think it's possible she is concussed? Birds with concussions appear disoriented and vomit. Do you see any powder marks on windows? Or maybe she got spooked and hit the wall perhaps.

Although a bird with a concussion would not have much of an appetite. So, if she did hit herself, she may be recovering and gaining back her will to eat.

I don't know, I'm just throwing ideas out here.

Maybe she tasted something not healthy for her.

From Beauty Of Birds:

"Lead Can Be Found In Curtain (Drapery) Weights, Curtain Pulls, Leaded And Stained Glass, Fishing Sinkers And Ammunition Carelessly Discarded In Ashtrays Or Dropped On The Floor, Jewelry*, And In The Lead Wrapping Around The Tops Of Wine Bottles, To Name The Most Common Sources."

You know, this year her and Frank tend to sit on the eggs together. Frank refuses to let her have the night shift, he just comes out for a few hours. So Trilly doesn't spend much time outside. This reduces the chances of her hitting something. I just checked the window and the wardrobe but there are no signs. Of course she might have hit the wall and in this case there's no way to know.
She is such a powerhouse, seeing her so weak is really shocking.

I found a poo on my shoulder, it looks normal but it's quite small compared to her "nesting" poos which are enormous.

She is not one of the wall lickers and leaves the cage bars and the mesh alone,so I think lead poisoning can be ruled out,

I read about the egg binding behaviour, and the only symptom fitting the description is tail slightly bobbing.

How were her eggs so far? Eyes half closed can mean she's in pain. Are her eyes half closed?

My birds bob their tails sometimes, even the males. Does her vent look okay? Any swelling?

About the tail bobbing, does it look like the cockatiel's in this video? http://youtu.be/-qjVgXqV9Z8

She had very lifeless eyes when I picked her up the first time, but after i picked her up and placed her directly above a steaming water bowl she got more lively and the eyes got more open and alert.
