she seems to be OK I think (but again, I am not 100% sure)... maybe she is concealing her illness who knows. when she opens her beak (and it's easy to get, as soon as I put my finger close she would hiss at me LOL) I still think that her "tongue" is not quite "pale pink" as it used to be. It's more deep red even bluish-purplish. I checked other birds but it's really hard to say if it's different. I am talking about part that is inside her mouth right inside her lower half of the beak. I was checking her after the night so any dye would wash off I think. Her poop seems to be OK and behavior is all right too. I will give her "shower test" later. She loves being sprayed, she lands on my finger where I hold the bottle and does gymnastics on my finger (adorable) Yes, I was once tricked by beet greens (stem is purple) - couldn't figure out why one bird turned bloody-purplish. DO you give them the root (the fruit, whatever it's called) of the beet plant? I only tried beet greens

I am trying to recall if I served beet green with stem yesterday... I think I did!
