I know some sun conures can head bob but mine does something very different. It's different enough for me to be worried that he's sick. He does this a couple of times a day when he is with me alone. He never does this with any other person. He also has to be in a mood to do it. He won't do it if he's scared or grumpy. He can do this from once to a couple of times a day. He also does the baby chick head bob when they get fed from their parents or syringe when I gently pinch my fingers on his beak that mimics a bird beak. Should I be worried? I have a video

The noise in the background was my air purifier.

I don't think I've seen a bird move quite that way before. But the way you describe it, it's a completely voluntary movement - he has total control over it and only does it when he wants to. It sounds like his own personal little dance move, not something abnormal.

I think it might just be individualized excited bobbing. I looked at videos of conures bobbing their heads, and I just think he's just being excited. :) he's showing it in his own way
