I came home from the stables just now and opened the cage to let my budgies and tiels out. Poppy jumped over to greet me and I noticed his foot looked like it was sort of crusting over a yellowish hue? I have no idea what that is or if it's normal or not.

My bad. He trampled in his mushed carrots and some dried on him. The carrot juice colored his feet yellow until he licked it off.

It's always good news when it turns out to be something simple like that!

Once I thought my bird had blood on his face after eating carrots! But it was only the first time. Now he doesn't like carrots any more anyway.

The same happens with Strawberries/beetroot... LOL

I once gave my birds pomegranate seeds.

It looked like a murder scene when I got back. Sprays of red juice everywhere!
