Tonight I was putting birds to sleep when my friend called my phone. We were talking while I was rolling the cage into the bedroom where flock spends a night. I think something scared Cuddles, she panicked, flew down in the cage, and somehow her head got stuck between the cage bars in the lower part of the cage. She was screaming like crazy and flapping her wings in panic, then other birds joined her panic and started to fly. I stopped the conversation of course and was going to see if I could help, but soon enough she was able to release her head. Honestly, I was preparing for the worst, that's how bad she sounded.
She seemed to be OK, just scared. She could move in the cage to get herself a sleeping spot. I picked her up to check on her (she hates to be held) and she seemed to be not damaged, she made her way out of my hands.
The cage they have is a regular, popular here, one of those, with 1/2-inch wire spacing

I am thinking maybe some bars there got bent, making interval larger... I couldn't see where exactly she got stuck as I was standing by another part of the cage and we were in a narrow place so I couldn't easily go around to take a better look (first I threw the phone on the floor)
Is it possible that she has delayed negative deadly impact from this incident?
Now I am worried what if they have a night fright and this happens again with her or another bird?

Glad all is well...
They aren't suppose to be able to get stuck in that size spacing.... but they seem to on times....

thank you Jan
I think maybe she pushed a door open with her body and her head got stuck in the door opening? There is a door in the area where she's got in trouble.
I can't understand how possible that her head got stuck between 0.5 inch bars

I doubt that it's physically possible for her to get her head between half-inch bars. You're probably right that it was the door. She's probably OK now, if there was going to be any swelling or other signs of injury it would have showed up earlier.

thank you. I tied plastic tie straps on doors that we don't use.
