Today i took zorro into get his monthly trim for his beak. And normal couple was not there, so my friend did it. I think she over did it as he only needed his tooth(the corner grows up looking like a tooth) smoothed out. But i saw a girl with 2 caiques so was talking to her as they first ones I've seen besides zorro and one at the vet. N few minutes later i see him fly across the room, i pick him up turn around to see why she didn't have a handle on him and she had a feather in her hand. And goes now he's pretty, i was to shocked to say much. But i was pretty upset. I didn't want her to do that she didn't even ask, n feathers shouldn't be pulled just because there a little messed up.
:crying: my poor baby, for now on I'll be using his regular groomers.

Did she actually pull it out or was he flying away when she had a bad hold on him so one fell out and the comment was just about his beak? I can honestly say that I've restrained birds and accidentally caught a feather that was on the looser side or in the case of kakarikis pulled out tail feathers. It's made me feel so bad but it has happened when I've been doing health checks, ivermectin etc. If she did do it on purpose then I would be furious. I imagine that would come quite sharp for him!

Yah its bunch of bs. I was pretty mad. Even shop keeper on her side. Said thats what you do if its barbed to prevent plucking and he was chewing it(which he wasent). Which makes no since at all. Shes my friend but im not going back to her for groomings and ill go back to his normal groomers, i just figured i was there id get it done big mistake.

Yeah then she got insulted because i told her i was upset. She goes well you didn't pay. Just because it was free don't mean you can do as you please.
