I don't know if its scabies or something else. It matches scabies description. On my arms and hands. Can they be passed to my birds, in case it's scabies?
There is a lot going on. My rabbit had cancer and just passed away. I have one more rabbit left who is very sad. I have had a lot of stress for the last several months. This is third occurrence of some sort of skin rash since April. The first one I thought was shingles outbreak. I didn't go to a doctor. When the second onset happened (and it looked not quite the same as the first), I did go to a doctor and she thought it was some sort of auto-immune rash.
This one matches scabies description. The only reason why I think it may not be scabies is because I had other rashes not long ago. So maybe it is stress related issue.
However, if it's scabies, should I be concerned about my birds? I use neem oil on top of it. Of course, I try not to touch anything that belongs to birds with my rash or the oil.

Scabies is caused by mites, and many mites are species specific, meaning that they only attack one kind of animal. So I would think that for your birds to get it from you, it would have to be a type of mite that bites both humans and birds. I don't know if there are any mites that do this.

Just an update. I didnt have any scabies of course. I had eczema triggered by a lot of stress. I lost all my bunnies past summer ( and the stress was while they were alive).

I definetely feel less stressed. And even planning a trip to see my parents that i haven't seen for 5 years.
But still, i wish bunnies wouldn't end up so bad at the end. One had cancer and another one wasn't diagnosed with parasitic disease on time
