One of my cinnamon girls broke her nail and was bleeding 2 weeks ago, December 13th. I won't describe all manipulations, I even took her to the vet to make sure her foot was OK. The vet said that it was only the nail that was injured. He said the nail should completely be gone and then she may have a new one growing in its place. She had it re-bleed a few times. She was favoring her foot a lot after it happened but recently she was doing OK. YEsterday I was misting them, she flew on my hand to wash really thoroughly. Unfortunetely after she flew off, I saw that her nail became bleeding again. Now it looks like a short stomp. Again, she is favoring her whole leg. Its a nail that faces her rear. I just was wondering - does it hurt that much that she has to favor her whole leg? I received some metacam from the vet but didn't have a luck administering it well. She is not tame, and whatever I tried to do was only hurting her even more (make her fly, escape, fight, etc) that I decided better leave her alone.
