I saw a recipe today for french toast (birdie). You added some baby food (sweet potatoe) to the egg and used whole wheat bred. My guys love bread slightly toasted so I thought they would like this, but it wasn't a great hit. I am going to give it to them in the am when they are really hungry.

I also saw some whole wheat pancake mix and I am going to try that and grate some zuccini and yellow squash and add it to the batter. We will see. I thought about using regular pancake mix but this should be better. They do love pancakes. They always get a little piece when we have them.

It'll be interesting to see if they like it! Birds tend to like the tasty stuff we make for ourselves a lot better than the healthy stuff we make for them lol.

A no-go on the french toast again this am. Roscoe was doing his dance for something good to eat but he wouldn't go near it. They don't like sweet potatoe so I guess they could taste it.
