1 - raw quick oats (or should they be cooked first?)

2 - that's all I can think of for now but if anyone else has a similar question, they can add it to this thread!

Not sure but I think raw oats have to be cooked!

That's why I'm asking, because I want to feed it dry, uncooked. I'm also wondering if it's edible, if it's actually nutritious for them.

I was wondering the same thing. Im pretty sure oats can be fed uncooked because they are uncooked in the wild and in bird seed. I'm actually not sure if its cooked or not. Don't take my word for it.

Oats are those whiteish grains that we make oatmeal with.

Yeah, I'm referring to the squashed rolled quick cook oats. I don't think steal cut or uncut oats would work, they'd be too hard I would think. They're supposed to be good for us (but we cook it first), just dunno if they're good for 'tiels and budgies (uncooked).

Oats don't have to be cooked. They're basically a flattened version of the same thing that's in the birdseed. I enjoy eating raw flattened oats myself actually - they're dry but tasty.

Is it a healthy food for them? Like something good to add to their mix? (I'm talking about plain, quick cook oats, no sugar or whatnot)
