The best way for hanging coconut for a tiel?
If I cut the coconut in half, drill a hole in the bottom, thread a boot lace threw and hang will it be ok?
I'll leave the flesh in side for Obi to eat...
I've never given coconut before... any advise welcome.... :thanks:

That would be OK, but make sure that the boot lace/string/chain isn't long enough that he could get tangled up in it.

I have drilled two holes in before. Then I use electrical wiring to tie it up against the cage.

What about hanging it up on one of those bird skewers?
This way the bird cant get tangled in any thing...

that should work also.

But The way I put them up there's no tangling possible either.

I'll take a picture next time I do it.

Edit: pictures added!

Hope you get the idea of how I work it. The Cockatiels are able to get to these too... but it takes them a little longer than the canaries to investigate!
