It's always funny when birds screw up and do something totally klutzy.

It was clever thinking to basically give her her own bowl of cereal to eat alongside of yours. I bet she's glad you didn't follow the human practice and float those pellets in a pool of milk!

Lucy's been extra cautious about eating out of that bowl ever since that happened (can't say I blame her), so I decided to tip it to it's side and let the pellets spill out today. Sure enough, she did not hesitate to try and gobble them all up.

Maybe I should just get a paper plate... Actually, I think a paper towel might be better, because Lucy has a tendency to either lift up the plate to chew on it, or try to stand on the edge, causing it to fling up to her face. She's almost completely unfazed by the latter at this point, but either way, pellets would be flying everywhere. :lol:

A paper plate or towel would probably make things worse! Cockatiels LOVE to chew on paper, and might think that tearing up the pellet-holder was more fun than eating the pellets.
