Silver my male cockatiel used to love scritches. There seemed no limit to how long I could scritch him. Since Leminy is with us, she scritches him. Now I can’t get him to accept scritches. Is this common?

I don't know how common it is, but it happens. He has found his one true love, apparently, and doesn't want to be unfaithful to her.

He does love her. However, they can’t seem to figure out how to mate. They keep trying though. He gets one foot on but that’s it.

Sounds like Vlad. He's progressed to standing on the hen with both feet, but that's all he does - stand there until her legs collapse from the weight. :roffle: :roffle: :roffle:

In my mind, birds are fickle, picky things. Jaid loved scratches as a baby then when he met Beaker, he decided it was more fun to wrestle so every attempt to this day of me scratching him triggers attack mode.
