For a while now, Emma has been flying over and perching on the back of my chair. But, tonight she was sitting there, she chirped, I twisted my neck around to look at her, and she began giving herself a meticulous, all over grooming.
I think it's so significant that she feels safe enough that she knows I'm looking at her, and she's really really close to me, but she's able to totally take her eyes off of me, for an extended period.

Thats exactly how i feel with my Cloudia! As much as she hisses at me and screams and flies away when i get near her, it was a really comforting feeling when she slept while i was near her today.

I'm so happy for you. It is so wonderful when our birdies start to realized that we just want to love them.
