I have thought for a long time that Emma has decided that my laptop is the perfect place to poop.

Well, this morning the other two birds were out, and Emma was sitting on her eggs.

After the other two were out for a while, hanging out on my shoulder & laptop, Emma came out of the cage, flew to my laptop, turned her back on me, and deposited a HUGE poop on my laptop screen. Then she took off, flew back to the cage and went back to the eggs.

Why oh why?

I do wish she wouldn't do this.

Luckily mine don't really sit on the computer. But they poop on the floor and couch often.

LOL Dianne she is really being cheeky!
My guys love to sit on computer screens and TV, if you really want to avoid that you need to buy those spiky plastic strips, the birds hate them but don't get hurt, they will just find a different spot where to misbehave :D

Hi, Barbara!

"spiky plastic strips"

Sounds very interesting. I've never heard of these. Please tell me more so I can find them.

I enjoy it when they sit on the computer, if it feels like they want to be wit me. What happened this morning just felt . . . insulting!

Dianne, I bought them from Amazon, they were called WINDOWSILL, WALL AND FENCE SPIKES. They are made of white plastic with all these pointy cones,or spikes, on the strip which is about two inches deep.the spikes are about one inch tall. I tested them a lot before using them to be sure that the guys wouldn't injure themselves on the spikes and they are innocuous. If the bird lands on them he gets very annoyed because he can't walk or sit on the strip, and flies to a more comfy place. I saved my TV with these strips, and now they are on top of the wardrobe because they were using it as toilet.
Those spikes look mean but they don't hurt the tiels.
