I put them together again. They are sleeping.

I agree that it's probably hormones. If it happens again, pay attention to whether they seem to be fighting over a particular piece of territory or something they might perceive of a mate. Reducing their hormone levels ought to restore peace.

Do you think it's me? When Beaker was sitting on the flight cage with Jaid inside, he acted normal. Walking around, bunny hopping. Then it looked clear so I walked over and then B went psycho and went for Jaid.

I think birds can be like people. They just get mad sometimes. But I also think it is hormonal. My Smokey and Roscoe could really go at it when Roscoe was extremely hormonal. This too shall pass and they will be friends again.

It's possible that he thinks you belong to him and he doesn't want to share. This happens with birds sometimes.

When I had Beaker for a year as a solo bird he constantly heartwinged me. A lot actually. Then I got baby Jaid and he fell in love with Jaid's feet. Then his crest. I think he could really care less about Jaid himself, but he liked what Jaid had goin' on I suppose.

So if he is raging hormonal right now, is he starting to see me as his mate again? When Jaid climbs on me he shoves him off. Normally he minds his P's and Q's.

Probably he either sees you as his mate, or sees your shoulder as his nesting area lol.

My guys do this sometimes. It is scary but I noticed that apart from chasing each other there is no real damage going on. But just in case I break the fight taking one bird out of the room for a few minutes, and when I put him back all goes back to normal.
Once Bubu chased Yoghi for about ten minutes. Another time Frank had it against Bubu for such a long time, at the end they both sat on a perch panting.
The only immune one is Keith because they all love him and fight for his attention.
Bubu and Rocky chase each other constantly but they reverse the role every few seconds.
I really hope Beaks won't get real nasty with poor Jaid! Maybe if you try ignore Jaid for a while Beaker will feel reassured? He is the alpha and probably Jaid did something to challenge that.

Buster and Henry get into a nasty fight occasionally, and once Henry bit Buster's toe hard enough to draw blood. So I break it up and lock Henry in the cage when they start mixing it up. It's all due to Henry wanting to mate with his mother so he's fighting with his father (Buster) trying to get her away from him.
