So Coyote recently started doing heart wings (I think) to the budgies. Not any one particular budgie, just all of them in general or one at a time. Is it a sign of hormones or is it just a thing, like when he does his bat bird routine?

Nope. Just a normal cock thing. They'll do it to anything that makes them happy, you, other birds, a toy etc.

It's a courtship move, but sometimes they do courtship moves when they're not actually courting anything. Maybe they hope a lady tiel is watching from somewhere in the shadows and she'll think they're studly!

He's saving it up for a certain possible future whiteface lutino (or cinnamon lutino!) Mrs. Coyote, hopefully! It's going to take some time to work on my husband on this, but I'm working on it, oh yes, I am working on it.
