Lucy has always been accepting of scritches. She'd almost always let pet her, with the exception of bedtime. However, she doesn't usually ask to be pet. There are times where she would prefer scritches over stepping up, and she's stood at the doorway of her cage for attention, but she would never really nudge my hand or anything, unless if I were to already start to pet her, and stop. Overall, she's not the kind that demands attention, but she does like it.
Today though, was different. I was sitting on the couch with her. She hung out at the window, watching wild birds eat outside. Then out of nowhere, she walked away from the window, onto my leg up to my resting hand, and nudged it with her head.
Yes, she actually nudged it for me to pet her. It was indeed a surprise, but a pleasant one at that. I'm not sure what made her decide to do this. Maybe it was the presence of a new bird in the house, or maybe she just wanted some attention for no reason. Maybe she was thanking me for bringing her home after she escaped and ended up in a stranger's laundry basket, I don't know. Either way, I was happy.

She definitely likes having her chin scratched.
