Sometimes my sweet little boy likes to be a jerk. :rotflmao100:
Today was one of those days.
First I made an omelette. A very simple omelette. No smells or anything. I sat down to eat it and he jumped on my shoulder, stretched his neck and started protesting with his crest all flat. No, he didn't want it. I tried. I have no idea why my omelette upset him.
Then he became obsessed with the forbidden area in my room. I put some books under a blanket to protect them and today he kept dancing on the blanket (talking to himself) trying to get to them.
He has also been in constant movement ALL DAY - up and down my body, up and down everything...
I put him to bed a bit earlier in order to preserve some sanity. HAHA
He kept talking under his blanket for a while, but now he is finally quiet... ;)
Hormone madness I guess... :blobg: :bliss100:

I get what you mean. Mine were off the walls today, too.

Lucy has her days where she's just extra flighty, and freaks out over everything. Today, the dog coughed and she flew all the way to her cage.

Alex had just recently been weaned, but he's still clingy as ever. Not to mention he's interested in whatever I'm eating. I had vegetables out for him and Lucy as I ate cereal, but he was so interested in what I was eating, that he jumped onto the edge of the bowl, and almost fell in.

Considering all the work it took to clean the dried baby food out of his feathers, that would be a very sticky situation. :joke:

Lucy was a cereal swimmer too so he's just trying to follow the flock tradition lol.

It DOES sound like hormone madness, and putting him to bed early is the solution for it. There's more on hormone control here if you need it: http://www.littlefeatheredbuddies.com/i ... mones.html

I am afraid I am his mate in his eyes, so it will be difficult. :( He also has a blanket with a teddy bear, and he likes to masturbate with it. I do try to hide it when he is mad, but then he becomes even more obsessive with me.
He is usually gentle with me, just preening my hair and blowing me kisses or just nudging me, as I said in another thread, but he is still in love... :loveshower100:
Now I could not sleep much, so I got up at about 4 (it is now 4:42am) and went to his room very quietly because I needed something, but he heard me and started to talk. Hopefully the neighbours didn't hear anything!

I can't believe the difference in just a few hours. Today he has been an angel. Really an angel, just sitting on my shoulder, looking at me and blowing me kisses non-stop.

I know what you mean, Baruch. I'm convinced Alex and Lucy work together in trying to drive me mad.

Then I realize they're birds, so I'm not too far off on that assumption. :P
