Mango is completely calm when I approach him so he is used to my prescence, I have started showing him my hand everyday and talking to him about the hand lol and he listens and then we talk about a whole lot of other stuff he really likes when I talk to him. Also everyday he flies on the playstand then back to his cage is he trying to build muscle in his wings since he is clipped and he has been able to fly further away. Each day when talking about the hand I will move my hand closer and closer. And Friday is my last day of school and then im off for a week for the Mid-term break so ill have a whole week to work with him.I have also been dropping treats in his bowl and I take a few steps back and he goes to eat.

We just had a long conversation before putting him into bed and I was telling him go in your cage and go night night and I was telling him Tiko is in bed (Not really she's watching a movie with my mam) and I told him Rocko and Loki is asleep and he flew over to my drawer and I was saying come on into your cage and he was bopping his head and he flew back over to me and went in his cage and I said good boy now time for bed and I said night night Mango and switched off the light.

That's good, you're getting closer to the goal.

He wouldn't consciously try to build muscle, because birds don't understand that exercise makes muscles get stronger. But he has apparently discovered how far he can fly so he's taking advantage of that, and in the process he's getting stronger and gaining the ability to fly farther.

Does exercise help the clipped feathers fall out? Also does Calcium speed up the moulting process?

If the clipped feathers are loose already, the air pressure of flight can make them fall out. I don't think it will speed it up otherwise. I don't think diet has a direct influence. A bird on a really poor diet might fail to molt because it doesn't have the physical resources to grow new feathers, but I don't think a good diet speeds up the process.

A good diet makes the new feathers much more shiny and nice right.
