Now that I have decided to give my four birds lots of out of cage time together, I wonder whether Piper and Emma will attempt to rekindle their interspecies romance.

I haven't seen any attempts so far.

It'll be interesting to see what happens. I won't be surprised if they do it.

It is spring now and their hormones can make anything happen. I'm curious to see what happens as well.

So far, Piper and Emma don't seem to remember what they used to do. They were apart for about fourteen months (different cages, same room).

It does seem that Emma and Silver(the two cockatiels, for newer folks) stay together, and Piper and Winter (the budgies) stay together. Sometimes all four of them are in the same place. But sometimes it's E & S in one cage and P and W in the other.

Another interesting thing is that, After I wrote about Emma Mast'b't'g all the time, she pretty much stopped. Also, there haven't been any more eggs.

It's a happy time here with my flock.

They like having two cages to go in and out of in the course of the day. My brother was reminding me how, when we were growing up, who was in what bedroom kept changing at our house. So, he thinks it runs in the family.
