So I've discovered a snag in training. Danny is cage aggressive. Very possessive. Even at the store I noticed he was very clingy to his bin. He sees it as his safe space and I know he's still a baby, so this is also contributing, but he is very bitey the past week. I can touch him on his cage, can touch his cage but I noticed he sees biting like a game right now.

Several things I need to work on with him:

-Stepping up (BIG one. If I put my hand next to the cage he will step on it, but he just sees it as something to bite)
-Being away from the cage and going back in easily.

Not too much, but it's the fact he wants to explore and I can't get him back nicely.

That's an adorable picture! My favorite way to deal with bitey cage-protective birds is to have a piece of millet spray in my hand to give them something else to bite until they forget that they're mad about your hand being in the cage. It might not be too compatible with clicker training though, since it's just flat-out food bribery not positive reinforcement. You could turn it into positive reinforcement though by showing him the target stick and then rewarding him for biting that.
