This site says they sell ribbonwood and manzanita for perches. Scroll down to see that part: http://www.exoticwooddreams.com/catalog ... cpets.html

Manzanita seems to be easily available online. It's bird safe but it tends to be kind of slippery so you need to scuff up the bark so the surface isn't so smooth. Here's another site selling it specifically for birds: http://www.manzanita.com/perches.htm

Here's a site selling manzanita branches for crafts: http://www.save-on-crafts.com/branches2.html Here's another manzanita site: http://www.bloomsandbranches.com/Search ... p?Cat=1852

It's hard to find other types, so if you want some other type of wood you'll need to be bold and seek them out in the real world. You could probably use your old perches temporarily in the new aviary if you do some adapting to make them fit. If nothing else you could suspend them from the ceiling like a swing using wire or rope to hold them up.

Are the birds not in a cage inside the garage? They'll be safer in one than flying around loose.

Thank you. I went again with someone and got it done. My gardener will cut off excess leaves and branch. Thank you for the links. I can always order it now. =)

My birds are in the cage but I let them out for a while. They always know how to get in trouble. I am always telling them that they will be in an amazing place tomorrow and that they will stay in these terrible conditions bork for one more night. I feel bad for them. I bring them inside to play now. I don't let the out in the garage anymore.

Yeah, it is. Does anyone know why when I put my hand next to Marshmallow, she makes this two light chirps and looks like she is chewing with her mouth. I think I have a video. I'll see now.

Saying hello maybe? I don't think this is standard cockatiel behavior, it's something unique that she does for you.

I think it has something to do with hormones. That's what Georgie does when he mates. And when Bio called Marshmallow the nest. In that video, Marshmallow was trying to nest.

So the wire is set. What is the fastest, easiest, and most effective way. Can I lightly scrub the wire with vinegar then pressure clean it?

Scrub the wire using a mix of 25% vinegar and 75% water, preferably using a brush with wire bristles (which you can get at a hardware store). Then rinse it well. I'm not familiar with pressure cleaning so you'll have to decide how workable that is.

I washed my wire with it flat on the ground on a brick patio before I put it on the aviary, and it was a nasty job. I don't know whether doing it with the wire already up on the wood frame would be better or worse.
