Just wash them off and you're ready to go! If you want to be extra cautious you could use a diluted bleach solution to wash them, or if they're small enough to fit in the oven you could bake them for a while at a low temperature to kill any germs.

Steph, she will love the branches! They are so versatile. The long perches by the window are an all-time favourite here, they choose them over the normal perches... Which is a bit weird because, how do they know the difference? And still, they like them more.

I got a pot out of my greenhouse and "potted" a bunch of peach tree branches with buds on them. They are in her window next to her cage. They also act as a guard against the window. She is in the branches looking like a very happy bird.
