These 2 carriers I bought for my P'lets...
but, they are great for budgie/cockatiel,
I put a soft cloth in the bottom, they are ideal for travelling...not for hours, but a shorter
time.. what do other members use?
They cost me £6.50 for the 2 on eBay, new..
Saves taking cages when a visit to the vet is necessary..

I have a couple of plastic and wire carriers that were originally intended for small mammals like gerbils. I mostly use them when I need to restain the older babies in the house, like when I take them to the kitchen for handfeeding. Here's a partial view:

But I also have a couple of wood and wire carriers that I like better for taking birds to places outside the house, like the vet. These aren't mine, but they're sort of similar:

BTW you can actually buy those carriers at http://www.dobieden.com/forsale/ I didn't get mine there though, I got them through the local bird club. The small one came from their monthly raffle and the bigger one came from a bird mart.

My bigger carrier is a double decker - it has two completely separate levels and each one can hold multiple cockatiels if they're reasonably compatible with each other.

Here's a top view of my smaller carrier with five babies inside.

Wow Jan that's an incredibly good price! Would you mind posting the link? I have a carrier that was originally a cage for some rodents, but it's so small I can't imagine any animal living in it, apart from a cricket maybe. I put a small perch in it but I should find something better for a very small price.
Are the reasonably stable if you stack them?

I love those domed ones, Tielfan. Are they very heavy?

The domed carriers in the other post aren't mine. Here's a picture of my actual carriers, with Pip and Ladybug in the top level of the big one:

I weighed the big one and it was 6 pounds, which surprised me. It feels more like 2 pounds when I carry it.

6lb is still pretty light.
I was having a loot at the link you posted, and noticed the foldable rabbit cage... that's how I would like to make my modular cage, foldable! Off topic, will post that pic in the right thread. I think it's a brilliant idea!
