Here is a cage I'm looking at buying.

This is the website with all the information:
http://www.amazon.ca/Prevue-Pet-Product ... t+Products

Do you think this is a good cage? The one I have for Tiki2 now has the 2 doors and I really like that idea and it is one of the things that made me consider this one.

The cage is very pretty! But if I was you I'd go for a cage that gives more horizontal space than vertical.
In my experience, no matter how big the cage is, the bird/s will always use the highest part of it, meaning that you are gonna waste all the lower part's space.

It's a nice cage, and Prevue cages are decent quality. But personally I would prefer this one: http://www.amazon.com/Prevue-Hendryx-F0 ... 0002AQ228/
It's not as pretty but the width and depth are more practical. It has two big doors on the front and half a dozen small doors on the side that make it easy to get access to various parts of the cage.

The small doors are spring-loaded so it's best to lock them with clips or safety pins to make sure a bird doesn't try to push through and get its head stuck. The food cups that come with it are inconvenient so you'll probably want to replace them with coop cups. I have this cage so I know all these details lol.

I am amazed (and envious) at the huge difference in prices cages between US and UK.
Tielfan, that same cage in your link on amazon uk costs £364.32 which in US dollars is $606.77.
Unbelievable but true...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Flight-Cage-Xlarge-Floor-37x23x60/dp/B0002AQ228/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1392907560&sr=8-4&keywords=Prevue+flight+cage

One that is a bit smaller is £253.87 ($422.82).

They are just unaffordable :(

Lovely cage Tielfan...
Yes Barbara cages are so much
more expensive than in the USA....
When I go over I bring stuff for my
birds back...
Maybe half a cage in the case...
the other half, when my daughter comes
home.... Yes it does work like this on times!

If I wasn't such a wuss I would think of doing the same, Jan. I have friends in the US who invited me over and I can't gather the courage to catch a plane... I haven't been to Italy in 2 years for the same reason. And as I get older, the phobia gets worse and worse.

Thankyou for the links Carolyn & Barbara. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I only have one tiel and with his play gym right beside him I was thinking he would probably be out of his cage more often than in it.

Agreed agreed. One thing you have got to look out for is unnecessary garbage they try to sell here. We have a ton of it. I found some cute, creative toys on a British website. I wanted some, but shipping for plastic toys would have been through the roof.

When I had just Beaker, he came in a cage sized for a finch, and even that's too tiny for a finch. I had him in a cage like the one you're looking at for several months, and he was perfectly content in it, but like the others said, it's most likely your tiel will sit up in the top region. Beaker did as they naturally like to be up high. Now with 2 tiels, I got the Prevue Hendyrx F040 flight cage and we all love it. Very roomy.
