I originally bought this toy for the rats, but since they also got the giant squeaky donut I thought to give this one to the birds.
BUT: is it safe?

It doesn't say a lot on the label, apart from the fact that it's made in the UK. I already know they would go mad trying to che it and using it as a swing, but I don't want to risk them to get poisoned.
It is all rubber.

Rubber is considered to be non-toxic, although it can produce some toxic chemicals when it decomposes. The main safety issue would be if the birds ate it and had blockage issues. Those little nubs would be tempting for a bird to chew off, but they might not be interested in actually eating them.
