I would love to kidnap you for a few days so you'd help me to build the quail house... :plot2:

I couldn't help to notice your bird cage. It's like a palace. They are treated like kings and queens :)

Can I be one of your birds?

Do you have wings and a crest?

I bought a miter saw before I went on the construction binge. It helped a LOT. It was much easier to make precise cuts than using the circular saw.

I want to buy a jig saw eventually. Then I can cut the door hole for nestboxes. The local Audubon chapter has a "nestboxes for urban birds" project going on and I may volunteer as a wood cutter for the project. I'm already putting nestboxes together for them using wood cut up by other people, but now I have most of the equipment to make the nest kits.

The nestbox on Buster and Shodu's cage was built by someone else and given to me, and it's nicer than store-bought nestboxes. I'd like to have the capability to make nestboxes for the tiels too.

Does that mean you wouldn't accept me if I come back as a pionus or lovebird in my second life?

Sorry, I have to limit myself to cockatiels. If I start accepting other species I won't know where to stop, and will be more inundated with birds than I already am.

Paul bought a miter saw just after we arrived in the new place... I didn't even know such a thing existed until then, but I was so smitten (yes that's the best word to explain how much I liked it!), I asked him to fix it to our table.
It's fixed to it with long screws and nuts so it can be removed, but it's so incredibly useful it's almost constantly on the table.
I wish I had a garage I could convert into workshop!
