Like I said earlier, I plan to move to Idaho in a few years and was promised an aviary. That will be what I am constructing. The size will most likely be smaller in width, but stretch to take up a full wall. Unless we find a house with a large basement, there is most likely not a chance it will be that large, but it shall be an aviary none the less. I think the birds will love it. These images are a concept.

But having some time before the move, you can look around and find others that might take your fancy too.
I suggest that you have a look on Pinterest, there are entire boards dedicated to bird aviaries and flights, and some come with detailed instructions, list of materials etc.
Sometimes I go there and look at those boards just to dream how much I'd love to have a REALLY HUGE flight for my birds!

The one outside the window I have planned can't be built now: we bought the material for a mini-greenhouse and until that's completed I refuse to start another project!

Stephanie, how good are you at DIY? Do you enjoy it? What about your parents? You'd cut the cost by half, maybe more, if you'll manage to find one you can actually build yourself. And if you need just to pay for the materials the rest of the money can go into making it bigger

Oh Barb, of course I'm building it myself! I love DIY! Almost everything in my bird's cages I built myself. I go up to Forest Hill, cut down some manzanita and make perches from it. Takes hours to cut and clean it. A standard square aviary should not be too difficult. Probably the hardest thing to do would be to scrub the aviary mesh.

Scrubbing the wire is a NASTY job. It was definitely the worst part of building my aviary.
