You are so lucky. I would do anything for a cage like that. I need one similar for breeding.

The first cage you posted is the one I have for my cockatiels, and I LOVE it. They come in and out through the top door. and I change out their seed and water through the bottom door. It works out great, because they don't seem to know that they could actually get out through the bottom door. They also play on top of the cage. I put toys up there for them, different ones every day.

I can definitely see where a budgie could get out through the bottom because of the lack of a grate. I think a cockatiel might be able to do it as well. On the other hand, I wonder whether the tray could be put in the groove where the grate used to go.

What kind of bird do you think you would like to get?

I think caique. But we will see. Is ur trey on ur cage platic? Ive never seen platic one b4. My old cage was similar to this one but dark grey n has lil metal tab hanging down so grid n trey couldent be pushed out.

That's a nice cage! You can probably take it apart and store it flat so it doesn't take up too much space until you're ready to use it.

The tray on mine is plastic. Is the cage apart? It was pretty hard to put together. I had to have help.
