Do you mean something like a wire shelf perch that was bent so it has three sides? There are some examples of wire platform perches here: http://www.perchfactory.com/bird_cage_p ... erches.htm

I also ran across this picture, which isn't quite the same thing but I think it's clever:

You could try looking at accessories for other animals, especially rodents/hamsters/gerbils. There's a lot of stuff for them that's suitable for birds too.

It's likely that the piece was made to go with that particular cage. If you can find an old cage for next to nothing at a flea market or thrift shop, you could cut it up and make your own. It's also possible to make one out of hardware cloth, but the wires are so thin that it would be kind of hard on a bird's feet if they spend a lot of time on it. You might be able to find a thicker kind of bird-safe wire at someplace like Home Depot.

If you don't mind replacing it from time to time you could make one out of wood. It will get gnawed obviously, but if you use thick wood it will last for a while.

What food are you using Mel? It looks delicious! And those food cups... I miss them. I got 4 with the cage, one arrived already broken, another broke soon after, and the third just broke (I mean hooks that attach to the cage)

Chipper, I found several online sellers who have the cups. You might be able to find more if you look. I didn't try to figure out who would have the best price after you add shipping costs.

The food looks like Zupreem Fruitblend pellets.
