Wait, does your bird already know how to perch? I mean, I can't give you ANY advice, since you are a wiz at birds, but, isn't your bird still a baby? And, At what age do they start perching?

The baby is being handfed, so it's likely that it will be taught how to perch by the time it's weaned. It's pretty early for it right now though. Babies start learning most of their bird skills including perching when they leave the nest. There aren't any perches inside the nest so they don't need that skill until they move out into the big world.
