Wow! That's a weird looking perch! Looks pretty cool by the way. What's it made of? And those toys, I'd like to learn how to make them!! They cost around 30 dollars over here (each.single.one.)

Milo loves the ones from Petco! Wow, they are only about $4-8 here. My budgie loves them too, even though they are bigger than her :)
I would love to get the perch you got, it looks soft and squishy like it would be really good for their feet- and I am sure it would be easy on their feet! I'll have to look at Petsmart when I go to Boise this week!

It looks like it's made of acrylic.

30 U.S. Dollars, Erik? Or 30 pesos? According to Google, 30 Mexican pesos converts to $1.77 USD, which is pretty cheap, compared to our prices for said toys.

If it is 30 USD though, that's seriously overpriced. Bird toys are commonly made cheap and easily destroyable, since parrots like to destroy things. 30 dollars would be a bit of a waste, when a parrot would be happy enough just to turn Popsicle sticks into toothpicks.

Those are some awesome looking things, Mel! I like the texture of the green perch. Since it's all twisty looking, that should make the width different on certain parts of the perch. Should really be good for the bird's feet. :)

Bird toys tend to be expensive, and the only ones that cockatiels really like are the ones that they can destroy lol. Like the "bird pinatas" that Mel posted.

They ARE supposed to be cheaper but as they have the brand "petco" on them, or any kind of American brand, they over-prize the original value of the product. That's why I'd like to learnnn!

There are vendors at the bird mart who have parrot pinatas but I don't know what the price is. They're made from strips of palm leaf that has been colored. You can make your own if you have access to palm leaf and want to spend some time cutting it into strips and weaving it together. But it would be easier to just give the palm leaf to the birds and let them tear it apart.

I'd bet they would make great foraging toys. :) Bird could rip open the pinata, and have a bunch of nutri-berries come out, or something.
