For what it's worth, the above is the one I use. It's a bit heavy for me, but manageable.

Thanks Dianne
Seems like a mini-sized cage, I have one spare cage that is not very large.

I am looking at this one, wondering if they are decent

Basically any small carrier that latches securely will work. Some people at the local bird club use a dog crate to transport their birds, some use a small cage, some use containers similar to that one.

Thank you Carolyn
I was wondering what options forum members found working the best for them

As long as the birds feel comfortable and you can carry it easily, it doesn't really matter. They'll probably feel most comfortable in a small cage, since they're more used to being in a cage than any other kind of enclosure. It may help to put a cover over the cage to block out unfamiliar scenery.

For really small birds I use wooden boxes with a handle on the top and a wire front. The larger birds (or anything that can't fit their head through the squares) go in a cat carrier with a towel in the bottom :)
