A woman on talkcockatiels has first time chicks and is having lots of questions. No one there seems to be giving good advice. I can't refer her here, as the forum has rule about not promoting other forums. However, I feel very concerned about her and her chicks. Can anyone help her?

You can PM her to join this forum. I seriously cannot help at all. My mind is so dull. I can't stay focused on that thread. I am barely making posts anywhere. This forum isn't extreamly active so I can manage to keep up with the posts here.

I think a PM would be OK. They wouldn't appreciate it if you posted a recommendation in public but I don't think there's anything wrong with a private suggestion once in a while when it's in the best interests of the bird. IMO it would be promoting another forum if someone was constantly sending PMs telling people to come here when they didn't have a specific situation where they needed it.

Diane have you heard anything more from the person from TC? Wow 7 eggs sure seems a lot and 3 to batch on the same day. DIDN't know Cincinnati's would do this.
I just reread my post. Don't know what I was doing. Should read--3 to hatch on the same day. Didn't know cocktails would do that.

If they waited to incubate, it can happen. Pippin and JJ didn't incubate theirs until all were laid, and that ended with the first hatching, two chicks hatching at the same time about 8 hours later, and the fourth hatching about 6-8 hours after.
I posted in the thread with some advice. Don't know if anyone PMed her telling her to come here?

Yes, I did send her a PM. She responded that she would probably come over here, but is very busy, and might not be right away.
She seems to be doing okay with her chicks. They are really, really cute. It's amazing how fast they grow up.
