Is it alright to give Bitsy and Roscoe egg every day? I leave the soft food in the cage about 2 hrs. They have been alternating to come out and I make sure they get fresh food then. For soft foods I alternate between brown rice, cooked multi-grain cereal, whole wheat pasta, thawed corn. I also give them birdie bread and broccli salad. I don't want to leave any cooked food out during the night but I thought I could put in some multi-grain bread and nutiberries or avi-cakes. Will this cover them thru the night? Of course seed, pellets and fresh water are in the cage at all times.
I am going to cook some sweet potatoe tomorrow but this will be a new food for them.
Is there anything else I should be offeing?

OK I will do that to. I probably will put the bread in there in case they are up before me. Also I have always left a low lit lamp (which is in the adjoining room) on at night for them to cut down on night flights. I am feeling so much more rlaxed now that I know they are feeding the chicks and now that we have a little routine started.
Thanks to everyone!!

I have found my breeding birds love crackers, bread ( whole wheat, of course!) And broccoli sprouts. Isn't that interesting?
